Open your heart for 2016

In order to connect, we must be willing to extend ourselves from within.

Summon courage, love, and curiosity from the depths of your being and reach out for the connections you seek.

Our Genetic Memory Wants Us to Dive Inward

The city is wonderfully hushed by a thickening blanket of glistening snow. Nature offers a snow storm as a way to momentarily bring calmness to the lively chaos on earth. The middle of the Winter season is the best time to dive inward into the depths of ourselves to contemplate who we are. Even though banks are now open six days a week and most stores are open for business even on statutory holidays, due to our economy’s demands for constant out-put. Human beings crave moments of calm and stillness to give us time to stop and reflect.

No matter how sophisticated technology has become, we still carry in our genetic memory the need to take time to pause and to let what has happened in the preceding seasons to sink in. We all need to take time to allow our human experience to settle into the depths of our being, and to observe how our experiences have affected our character, temperament, thought-process, habits, and interactions.

Mindful reflection helps establish our identify, so that we become more sure of who we are and more decisive about what we want, before forging ahead once more.

“Take some time to find out that living life is all that life’s about.” —  Lyric by: Chris and Thomas
